Wangan Tropical Getaway

Wangan Tropical Gateway is a lovely fully-furnished 2 bedroom upstairs unit. Our unit is the perfect point of departure for North QLD adventures: the Tablelands, the Great Barrier Reef, National Parks...and more! A nice afternoon breeze goes through the balcony at the end of the afternoon, to cool the house down for the night. Bedrooms have air conditioners and ceiling fans. Pets and events on approval. The unit is situated upstairs of an old Queenslander. I live in the downstairs unit. So it goes without saying that you need to be respectful of each other space and as much as possible keep the noise to a minimum late at night. Saying this, I can accommodate for 6 with the use of the sofa bed in your living room (2 queen beds in the 2 bedrooms + one double sofa bed in your living-room), as long as you are respectful of the house setup. I will be happy to please any request and make it work for the guests. Just ask me! Also, I am not charging any cleaning fees, I appreciate your understanding to leave the place as clean as you found it. you will see extra linen and air bnb supplies, thanks for leaving them to my cleaning team. obviously, in case of emergency, you can use them. Upstairs is all yours. I live downstairs where the washing machine is. if I am not home, feel free to enjoy my outside area. It will depend if I am around or not... But I am always available to help or give tips about the house or the surroundings. I am 10 minutes drive from Innisfail, next door to a bakery, 2 minutes walk to a servo/convenience shop and a pub. We are on the old canecutter way about 15 min drive to Paronella Park. We are 10/15 min walk from Mundoo Aerodrome, Flying School and Skydiving Center. Unluckily there is no bus bringing you in town (Innisfail). Taxi fare is around $20 one way to get into town. Or you can walk it but it is at least an hour walk, it is a nice walk along the river. Upstairs, in the middle of the day, it can get quite hot when nobody is in. I always make sure all the blinds on the western side of the house are closed to protect us from the sun as much as possible. Same in the bedroom, the southern side gets sooo hot in the afternoon, I always keep the curtains closed. By the evening, I love opening some windows and fans to get the breeze in. If not appropriate, I hide in the air conditioner. 🙂 Also, at night, the bugs will get attracted to the lights. I always make sure I close the doors or open the doors but shut the lights inside. Please be aware that there is a security camera monitoring the front gate and driveway.
